​Introduction:

IT faculty aims to provide an efficient educational and research environment that enhances creativity and development within various fields of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). IT Faculty ensures the provision of high-quality undergraduate and graduate educational programs preparing its graduates to compete in national and international market sectors, serve their communities, continue their graduate studies, and conduct world-class research.

 

IT faculty mission confirms with Mutah University mission and strategic objectives; hence IT Faculty supports the following major goal areas:

1.(Education): IT Faculty provides high quality undergraduate and graduate educational programs in Computer Science, Computer Information System and Software Engineering. IT faculty provides high quality Curriculum that meets the market demands and industry dynamic requirements.

 

2.  (Research and Innovation): IT faculty ensures the availability of well-organized and efficient teaching and learning environment allowing the provision of graduates able to conduct high quality research and deliver creative solutions. IT Faculty increase participation in local and international research activities, and the supports IT innovations and startup businesses.

 

3.(Community Service and Employment): IT Faculty prepares its graduates and provides them with required skills and expertise to play important roles in market and to deliver novel ICT solutions supporting daily life activities. It facilitates and encourage students to conduct social activities. From this prospect IT faculty aims to become a main provider of IT professionals in Jordan and the region.

 

Based on above major goals, IT faculty strategic goals include the following:

-To become a leading academic and research institute providing high quality education, supporting scientific research, leadership and creativity at the local, regional and global levels.

- Continuously achieve local and international accreditation for all academic programs.

-Establishing effective partnerships with information technology institutions from private and public sectors to keep pace with developments, whether at the level of programs or plans, or at the level of graduate students to qualify them with the expertise necessary to meet the market demands.

-Continuing to develop academic programs, develop equipment and facilities, and develop the academic and research capabilities of the teaching staff.

- Organizing events and activities and contributing to various projects to continuously contribute to community service.​
